JUNIOR SPORTS FIESTA

On 15th February, 2020 S.D.Public School, Pitampura celebrated Junior Sports Fiesta with great pomp and show. The event began by the lighting ceremony and floral welcome of the guest of honour Mr.Vijayan Bala and welcome address by the school Principal Mrs.Anita Sharma. Students from Nursery to class 3 participated with great fervour and manifested their athletic skills with an unimpeachable finesse in different races like Hosting the flag race, navy marshal race, CRPF jawans beating obstacles, Bee and the Flower race etc. The program included karate, aerobics, skating, dumble drill and many more.The esteemed guest Mr.Vijayan Bala an educationist and a retired school Principal was mesmerised to see such great performances and boosted the confidence of the SDPians with his kind words.

20th DELHI STATE KARATE CHAMPIONSHIPS -2020

ANISHA of class 9th participated in 20th DELHI STATE KARATE CHAMPIONSHIPS -2020 in category Junior U-21 and secured a BRONZE MEDAL in FEMALE, INDIVIDUAL (47Kg) The championship was held on 27th & 28th January 2020 at Talkatora Indoor Stadium.

Republic Day Celebration

On a chilly morning of 24th January the play ground witnessed a great fervor of patriotism blended with an uncanny excitement for the Republic Day celebration in the SDPS campus. Shrouded with exhilaration, the students cadets were all set to showcase a lively parade in front of the spectators. The event commenced with the hoisting of the flag at 8:30 am by Prof. (Dr.) R. B. Solanki, Vice Chancellor, Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind and was followed by the singing of National Anthem which evoked patriotism amongst the populace. Subsequently, honorable guests respectively went for the parade inspection. The march past began with great ardor where cadets of Army wing, Navy wing, Airforce wing and Civil wing by students from nursery to class IV. All the cadets enjoyed and show excellent discipline during march past.

Visit to Full Dress Rehearsal Parade at Chhatrasal Stadium

Students of class 4th A&B along with their sports teachers visited the full dress rehearsal for the Republic Day celebration at Chhatrasal Stadium on 22nd Jan. 2020. This was a great opportunity for the students to have an exposure to be a part of the most important event in India. The event was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm and was a very learnable experience for students also.

Tremendous Performance of Athlete of Our School Pratiksha Pal (Athletics-High Jump Event)

Tremendous performance of Athlete of our school student Pratiksha Pal Class (9th D) got 1st Position in Zonal Athletic Meet, 3rd Position in High Jump (Inter Zonal Athletic Championship), 5th Position in Delhi State Level and 2nd Position in District and Summer Athletic Meet under 17.

An adventure excursion Deva Farms, Alipur.

Classes Nursery- V was organised. The Students Enjoyed and got exposure to a Variety of activities like: Commando Crawling, river crossing, zip line, Burma bridge, camel ride, tractor ride,dancing. It was a fun filled day for the students.

65th National school games 2019-20

ANISHA of class 9th of our school participated in 65th NATIONAL SCHOOL KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP 2019-20 in category U19 KARATE GIRLS which was held from 1st - 6th Dec 2019 in Jabalpur Madhya Pradesh and was organized by C.B.S.E WELFARE SPORTS ORGANISATION.

Fit India Movement

On the Occasion of National Sports Day, our students participated in Oath Ceremony of Fit India Movement announced by Honorable Prime Minister to celebrate on 29th August 2019, Students committed for playing with truthness, sports as a part of life, healthy India. Students will make proud to parents, teachers, school, zone, state and nation with healthy sports spirit. Many students from various classes and children with special needs participated in this event.

Zonal Primary KHO-KHO Competition

Rocking Performance by our Kho-Kho team of primary girls securing 3rd position and primary boys securing 4th position in Zonal Kho-Kho Competition at GBSSS, FU Block, Pitampura. Their tricks and rhythm proved the talent and energy of SDPS Girls' strength. Appreciated by sports officials and looked special spark among them. They made happy to all with their coordination and team spirit.

Zonal KHO-KHO Competition

Zonal kho-kho competition org. by directorate of education at GGSSS, FU Block Pitampura from 26th to 28th August 2019. Our junior boys team secured 3rd position out of 32 teams from different schools.

Summer Athletic Meet

Summer Athletic Meet held at Chatarsal Stadium from 21-26 August 2019 organized by Directorate of Sports Branch, DoE, GNCT, Delhi. Our students from various classes participated in Under 14 and Under 17 Categories. Nikita Arora (XI) - Shotput (5th Position state level). Pratiksha Pal (IX) -High Jump, 3rd Position Aditya (VII) and Srijan (IX) - Long Jump, Selected in Best 12

Zonal Volley Ball Tournament

Our Senior Volley Ball team got the *Second Position* in Zonal Schools Sports and Cultural Activities, Directorate of Education, Zone-XI. 36 teams participated in this tournament from various schools. Certificates were distributed by Ms Pusparatam, SP, Zone XI,

S.D.Badminton Tournament Powered by Hai International

S.D.Badminton Tournament Powered by Hai International held on 25th & 26th May 2019 at S.D.Public School Pitampura 70 players from 25 different schools participated in this tournament under the categories U-13 ,U-15,U-17 girls and boys Singles and Doubles . *1st position Mehul Girdhar in U-17 Girls singles. *3rd position Navya Jain U-17 Girls singles. *Garv singhal &Ankit Kumar got 3rd position in U-17 boys doubles. *Rishab Raj got 2nd position in U-15 Boys singles.

INTER HOUSE PRIMARY ATHLETICS COMPETITION

Inter-house primary athletics competition was held on 13th May 2019 for classes 4th and 5th. Students participated in various types of events like the 50m race, relay race, and the long jump. These events were conducted in order to boost up the morale of students.

Workshop on Career on Physical Education

Sports faculty and students of SDPS Pitampura, attended a workshop on Careers in Physical Education on 6th May 2019 in Delhi World Public School, Greater Noida. It highlighted various opportunities sports offer to the student. Overall the experience was very good.

Scholarship 2018-19

Prachi Yadav has been awarded ₹142500 under Play and Progress Scheme of Delhi Government. She is a National player in Athletics and got Ist and IInd position in 100-meter and 200-meter race respectively in Delhi State Level Competition.

INDERJEET MEMORIAL VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT

Inderjeet Memorial Volleyball Tournament held on 29th to 31st October 2018 Organized by Tulip International School, Bawana Road Pooth Khurd. Our School team secured 3rd position.

ZONAL ATHLETICS MEET

Zonal Athletics Meet held on 25th to 27th October 2018 at Chhatrasal Stadium , Organized by Director of Education. Our students won 2 silver and 2 bronze medal.

C.B.S.E. Athletic Meet Cluster XX held on 11,12 October 2018 at Polo Ground, Delhi University, Delhi-7, Organized by Shanti Gyan Niketan Sen. Sec. School Goyla, Dwarka. 12 students from our school with different categories participated in different events in this competition.

SKATING COMPETITION

Our students participated in 6th Open Inter School Roller Skating Championship 2018 in Nav Bharti School on 7th Oct. 2018. KITE FLYING COMPETITION

Inter House Kite Flying Competition 9th to 10th class All Sections held on 7th August 2018. Narmada house got 1st position,and Kaveri house secured 2nd.

4th GRAND DELHI-NCR OPEN TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP-2018

Anant Gautam of our school participated in 4th Grand Delhi-NCR Open Taekwondo Championship held on 21st January 2018 at Guru Harkrishan Public School, Punjabi Bagh and He secured GOLD Medal in UD-27 category.
